Haddie had injuries all over her body, but the worst were on her face. A doctor determined that she had been used as a “bait dog” due to her injuries and temperament. This awful practice involves dog fighters forcing their fighting dogs to attack bait dogs like Haddie relentlessly to train them. Erin is adamant that all the animals involved in dog fighting operations are victims.
On social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok, Haddie has gained popularity as the ‘pirate dog’. Her inseparable bond with her owner Erin started when Mutt Scouts matched them together. Erin did not know Haddie’s original birth date, so she chose to celebrate it on January 19, which is Dolly Parton’s birthday.
