When a woman received a call about a puppy on the brink of hypothermia, she had no idea what she was about to encounter. The innocent pup had been callously placed inside a cardboard box covered in snow by an individual with no compassion, leading to it being frozen to a dangerous extent.
A small puppy was struggling to survive in extremely cold weather. This occurred in Arkhonskaya, Russia, a town known for its hot climate. Witnessing the puppy’s condition, Tamara was heartbroken that someone could treat such a vulnerable animal with cruelty. The puppy would not have survived for long had Tamara not come to its aid. Without any delay, she picked up the poor creature and took it to a nearby veterinary clinic.
The young dog was in a serious state of health. The veterinarian was unable to determine his body temperature due to it being extremely low, and the animal was barely breathing and moving. The dog’s fragile condition prevented further testing because of severe dehydration, weakness, and low blood pressure.
Tamara dedicates her time volunteering at a local animal rescue charity in Dublin. She witnessed the heroic efforts of the team to save a little puppy, who they named Joseph – a name fitting for a pup in dire need of a miracle. Due to being severely ill, Joseph was placed on a heating pad to help regulate his body temperature. Unfortunately, this method led to complications as Joseph’s breathing grew weaker by the minute.
José’s condition was critical and required a blood transfusion. Despite having to remain hospitalized for a few days, he refused to lose hope and kept fighting. His perseverance paid off as he started showing significant improvement after a few days. The medical team could finally hear his voice and conduct some necessary tests. Their findings revealed that José’s underlying issue wasn’t just hypothermia but also an infestation of parasites that were wreaking havoc on his body. This caused him to experience severe symptoms like diarrhea, vomiting, fever, and weakness.
Upon arrival at the clinic, José was immediately dewormed and despite his small size and vulnerable condition, he clung to life. The following day, there were promising signs of improvement in the puppy’s condition, bringing optimism to everyone involved. Although he was still experiencing pain and required IV treatment, which could be difficult for him, all of the veterinarians worked tirelessly to build trust with José and minimize his suffering.
The networks were buzzing with news of José’s speedy recovery, a result of the heroic efforts of those who spared no effort in caring for him and showering him with love. This puppy, once mistreated by a heartless individual, is on the path to a complete transformation and finally receiving the love he has always deserved.
